A VERY early Christmas
I am 14 years old and I live in Melbourne, Australia.
My Christmas usually starts around 4am Christmas morning when my little sister wakes me up. She drags me out to see the presents we got. Then, around 4:15am, she gets a little TOO excited and starts making a lot of noise; that’s when mum or dad (usually dad) tells us to go back to bed. By this time I can’t get back to sleep so I stare at the ceiling until 7am when we are allowed to get up to look under the tree. At 7:15 my parents drag themselves out of bed and make themselves coffee. When everything has settled down we start to open our presents from “Santa”. We usually get a HUGE sack full of medium – small presents, a large stocking with lollies and chocolates in it, and then we get a BIG present which is usually something like a stereo or a T.V or, for my sister, the latest craze of toy like a “furby”. We sit down to open our big present first (from Santa) then we look in our stockings, then we open all the presents in our sacks.
After that someone is nominated as “the helper” who hands out the presents from our parents and each other and our relatives. Then our friends come over at around 11:30am and then it starts all over again with the presents. We have a roast lunch then we go for a walk. Our friends go home and that is my Christmas.
