1/4 Cup of butter 1/2 Cup of light brown sugar (packed firm) 4 Ripe bananas, peeled and split lengthwise 1/8 Teaspoon of cinnamon 1/2 Cup of white rum 1/4 Cup of creme de bananas 1 Pint of vanilla ice cream
Melt the butter and brown sugar a skillet. Add bananas in single layers and sauté, turning once until tender, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with the cinnamon. Pour in the rum and creme de banana. Ignite with a match, remove from the heat , and baste the bananas until flames burn out. Place two pieces of the banana on an attractive dish and spoon some of the liquid over them and scoop vanilla on top. Serve at once while bananas are still warm.
