Southern Sweet Potatoes with a Kick

3 Cans (1 pound, 2 ounce size) of sweet potatoes 1 Cup of sugar 1/3 Cup of bourbon 1/2 Cup of butter 1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon 1 Bag of marshmallows
Empty the cans of sweet potatoes into a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until heated thoroughly. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Mash the sweet potatoes and the sugar, bourbon, butter, cinnamon and vanilla; beat until well blended. Spoon into a 2 quart, shallow baking dish. Cover with the marshmallows. Bake, uncovered, or until marshmallows are golden.
