1 Quart of port or sherry or claret 1 Pint of whiskey or brandy 1 Pint rum 8 Whole cloves 1 Cup of almonds, halved 1 Cup of raisins 1 Cup of sugar 2 or 3 Sticks of cinnamon Grated rind of 1 orange 15 Cardamom seeds
Bring all the ingredients to the boiling point, then remove from the fire. Serve with raisins and almonds in each wine glass. It may be cooled and bottled. Heat before serving. At Christmas, pour a little sugared brandy over the top of the glogg, and blaze just before serving.
