The Danish Christmas

The Danish Christmas

In Denmark we have a great tradition at Christmas: we eat a special almond-rice and there is a whole almond in it. The one who gets the almond wins a present. It is usually a marzipan pig. And when we have eaten the turkey, we dance araund the tree. At 10.00 pm we, get to open our presents. When we have opened our presents, we eat again and when it gets to be midnight, we go to bed. The next morning we eat rice pudding for breakfast and you have to remember to put a teaspoon of butter on the top as it gives a great taste.

Merry Christmas
