The real Xmas in Italy …
Matteo-North Italy

Hi, I’m a boy from North Italy’s region “Trentino-South Tyrol.”

First of all , sorry for my English … ;-)

Well , I want to say something about the Christmas in Italy (over all here in the North).

Here the decorations, the lights, the tree usually are just turned on in mid November; on TV there is just the atmosphere and the advertisment …

Always, in the middle of November, open the traditionally “Tirolean Christmas markets” with addobs, local Xmas manufacture, sweets …

In the middle of the cities there are the bigs Xmas trees, but in the gardens and in the homes there are the family’s tree too.

Like in the US, here in North Italy there are many coloured lights on the windows and on the homes.

Christmas Day is very special, but it’s quite special on the 24th of December, too (the ” vigilia”) with many events and a special evening …

Very special is the last day of the year too …

But this is another story … ;-)

Thanks and bye bye … right … Merry Christmas! : )
