Our Christmas tradition – 12 courses marsbar27 I am a Canadian from Italian heritage. My parents come from Cosenza, Calabria. My mother has always had the tradition of serving 12 courses for Christmas eve, and all being meatless. She always includes the salt cod (baccala) in tomato sauce, the spaghetti with anchovies, and always broccoli.
