Q. How do I Search for and Discover Products at Christmas.com?
There are two ways that people shop for gifts: they search and they browse. At Christmas.com we've tried to make it easy for you to do both.
Gift Search: At the top of every page, you will find a Gift Search box. Entering product types, models, or brands in this search field will search both our database of items (including all those items added by other Christmas.com members) as well as the product feeds of nearly 1,000 merchants. This ensures that you can almost always find a product that you are looking for. The search box looks like this:
Advanced Search: When you choose the "Advanced" Search feature, you still get all the regular search features, but you also get to filter your search results by a specific merchant, a product category, item prices, and even by whether or not the retailer is offering discounts at that moment in time.
Gift Discovery: Gift discovery is kind of like window shopping. We try to make it easy and enjoyable to explore our website, encouraging you to browse by recipient, product category, or personality type. You can also follow others on the website and get gift suggestions from them.
Do you have a penchant for a specific niche (deep sea fishing or paper craftmakingperhaps?), then create an idea list and curate a collection of items that you think an audience might enjoy. Like other social websites, you are invited and encouraged to comment on the gift ideas of others and follow those gift curators that you find interesting. Look for the Follow button on any member's profile page(the button looks like this: ).
Q. Can I compare items when shopping at Christmas.com?
Most products on Christmas.com are integrated with our shopping comparison engine. This engine tries to find the same product from different retailers around the web, giving you an apples-to-apples comparison of products available to purchase. This includes helping you find the most affordable item, or find those products from the most trusted retailer.
We also provide you with an related product search that returns similar products (e.g., different model numbers of the same product line. This comparison engine will be found beneath the item details (if available for a particular item).
Q. Do you ever feature items on your site?
We are working with multiple retailers who have Hot Gift Ideas for you. These items have been specifically selected for the category, personality, or recipient type, and are often some of the best deals on our website. These Featured items are found at the top of individual categories.
Q. What are the 30 Days of ChristmasTM?
As a treat to our members, and delivered in conjunction with our Founding Partners, we are pleased to present you with 30 Days of Christmas. Starting on November 26 and continuing straight through Christmas Day, every day we will be bringing you a special offer that is unique to Christmas.com

Q. Are there any Good Causes associated with Christmas.com?
Christmas is a time for charity and giving to those in need. You will notice that when you first create an account, we’ve created and pre-populated a list for you called "Good Causes". This list includes featured charities from the social giving website, Fundrazr.
Christmas.com has partnered with Fundrazr to provide you with a selection of more than 2,000 personal and charitable causes. This year, add a donation to a cause to your list and help those in need.
Q. Do you accept Christmas blog posts?
Christmas means different things to different people, wherever you are in the world. But regardless of locale, there are a few common threads that make up just about everyone’s Christmas: one is food, and one is tradition.
To capture these elements of Christmas, we are encouraging our members to share their recipes and traditions of Christmas. Send us your thoughts and we will share it with the world.
Q. What makes Christmas.com “The Official Site of Christmas”?
You may see us refer to ourselves as “The Official Site of Christmas” in some of our promotional material, on our Facebook page, and across this website. As to the question of what makes us “Official”, this is a self-appointed title. We want Christmas.com to be the web’s #1 destination for all things Christmas: from music to movies, from games to gifts, from traditions to turkey … and all points in between. Christmas.com members like yourself will determine in good time whether we live up to the title.
Q. What is your Vision for Christmas.com?
Christmas is a lot about tradition, and we want to create a lasting tradition within your family if you invite us in. No, we’re not going to come and sit down with you and ask you to pass the turkey over Christmas dinner, but if we do things right this year, next year, and the year after that, then hopefully we can become a special and unique part of your Christmas.
By 2015, we want to be powering more than 1 million Family Pages. We want be connecting tens of millions of visitors over the holidays via shared gift lists and gift suggestions. We want to become the de facto source of Christmas traditions around the world. And if we do all of that, then we do hope that we can share Christmas morning with you… at least.

Q. What is the ‘Christmas Shop’?
There are two parts to our Christmas Shop. First, there is the online shop for Christmas trees, decorations, lights, and ornaments featuring top selling brands and wholesale items. You can find these by clicking here or navigating to http://Shop.Christmas.com. Secondly, there is the social discovery shop featuring products added to our site by other members of the Christmas.com community or fed onto the site by the web’s top retailers. Most of these products are available online from the retailer’s own website. However, some items are only found in the physical store. These are typically items added by our mobile app while a member is out shopping.
Q. What are Retailer Partners?
Retailer Partners include all retailers for whom Christmas.com is syndicating products. This includes products from our Founding Sponsors. While Christmas.com maintains affiliate relationships with many retailers, not all products listed are subject to affiliate commissions. Users who use our +Christmas Button to add items from any site on the web often create a Retailer Partner relationship. We make every effort to link the desired item through to the relevant item on the merchant’s own website. Our number one objective is to help you give gifts that people want and get the gifts you deserve. If we do that, revenue will follow.
Q. How do I buy a gift on a Wish List?
To buy a gift from a Christmas wish list, click through on the link that says “Buy Now” or “Learn More”. This action will take you through to our retail partner websites, or other sites on the web. All transactions would happen securely on that retailer’s website. Please look at the URL after clicking the link to ensure that you are on the Retailer Partner’s website.
Q. Can I compare products and prices via Christmas.com?
Yes. Many of the items featured on our website have been classified into product categories or product types. For these products, we show options below an item that reads, “Compare Prices” and “Related Products”. If available, the Compare Prices tab should show gift prices from across the web at the last known published price. Every effort is made to make sure these prices are accurate and that the same products are shown, giving you an apples-to-apples comparison. Users are encouraged to click through to each retailer partner to compare pricing including shipping.
Q. What is your Return Policy?
Items sold by Shop.Christmas.com have a return policy described in detail here. As Shop.Christmas.com sells décor and trees, we do not accept returns after December 26th. Prior to this date, any non-damaged/non-defective products may be returned for a refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping) within 60 days from date of purchase.
If you are buying a product from a Retailer Partner, please click through on the “Learn More” or “Buy Now” buttons to learn more about the return policies offered by each retailer. Every retailer has different policies and members are encouraged to read these policies thoroughly before purchasing.
Q. What is your Shipping Policy?
Items sold by Shop.Christmas.com have a shipping policy described in detail here. At this time, Shop.Christmas.com is shipping to a limited number of countries. Shipping is calculated at the time of order. Many orders over $100 qualify for Free Shipping.
