Born August 15, 1977 on Detroitâ??s eastside, Kevin began his life in poverty and was subjected to a dysfunctional household. Stricken with illiteracy and having experienced molestation, a young Kevin failed both the 3rd and 7th grades in school. As a teen Kevin became involved in gangs and was later convicted of armed robbery and sentenced to prison at the age of 18. Despite his misfortunes and emotional battles, Kevin promised to redeem himself once he was released from prison. Once released, he became a single parent of his eldest son.
