Brian and Roselynn's Adoption

Brian and Roselynn's Adoption

Dear Friends and Family,My name is John, brother of Brian and Brother-in-law to Roselynn…Brian and Roselynn met back in April of 2007 at work. They became instant friends and started dating six months after. I knew, along with most of my family, that Roselynn would be a part of our family one day. They became engaged in November 2008 and were married in November 2009. Before they were married, all they talked about was starting a family right away; they knew that is what they wanted. After several unsuccessful attempts, Roselynn went and talked with her doctor. Her doctor then sent her to a fertility specialist. After testing and procedures, Brian and Roselynn fall under the "unexplained infertility" category. Roselynn's new specialty doctor started her out on fertility pills. After numerous negative attempts, the Doctor switched to injections. After numerous attempts, the Doctor suggested artificial insemination. After a negative attempt, Brian and Roselynn decided to try invitro fertilization (IVF). This was a tough decision to come by because most insurance companies in Michigan do NOT cover this procedure. Their Doctor charged $10,000 just for the procedure. Their insurance company only covered 12 months of fertility treatment. Well, needless to say, they surpassed that time frame months ago. Now, in addition to the up-front cost of IVF, they now had to pay for all blood work, ultrasounds and medications. Round one of IVF started in November of 2011 but was dissolved quickly as Roselynn started to have complications, which led to her Doctor cancelling the cycle due to the possibility of numerous other complications. The Doctor started her back up on round two of IVF in January, 2012. The Doctor altered her protocol to ensure a smooth process. Brian and Roselynn had IVF done on Valentine's Day 2012 and found out they were expecting on February 25, 2012, which was also Roselynn's nephews birthday! It was such a great day for them as they finally thought their dreams were starting to come true. After heavy ultrasound monitoring, Roselynn unfortunately miscarried in March 2012. I have never seen so much pain in a person as I saw in Brian and Roselynn. There was nothing I, nor our family, could do to help except tell them we loved them and would be there for them. Luckily, at the time of IVF, the Doctor was able to preserve two fertilized eggs and freeze them for future use. After the horrifying news of miscarrying, they knew this was their next step. They went through this process again, though not as intense as the original as they already had fertilized eggs to work with. This procedure was performed in April of 2012. They found out in May that is was unsuccessful. Again, pain surrounded them and there is nothing that anybody could do to help fix it. I can't imagine going through what they have gone through; I hope I never have to. Brian and Roselynn have such an amazing marriage and are truly each other’s best friends. There is nothing that I, or either of our families, want more than to see their dreams come true; starting their very own family. Brian and Roselynn found an adoption agency that suits them and are currently in the process of becoming "waiting parents". Since this is the only route for them to go to start a family of their own, they need to come up with a substantial amount of money once they are placed with a birthmother. They are currently in debt from all of the fertility treatment and do what they can to get by. They both work full-time luckily to help pay the bills but can only manage to pay minimum payments, to ensure they have enough to pay for all of the bills. I am requesting from the bottom of my heart for love and support from your family to mine. If there is anything you and your family could do to help it would be greatly appreciated. I have put together the following site to help raise money for my brother and sister-in-law and I was hoping you would be kind enough to participate in it. This site allows friends and family to read about their story and if possible, donate to such a wonderful family to help make their dream come true. Please also feel free to share the link on your wall, as your friends and family may also like to participate.Thank you for taking the time to read about my brother and sister-in-law and their long emotional journey. Any help is very much appreciatedJohn
