They saved my kidney but I'm wiped out financially
Without medical insurance, it just cost over $10,000 to save my left kidney. The photo is a frontal CT scan showing my healthy right kidney on the left and my atrophied and damaged left kidney on the right... the big white thing sticking out of the left kidney like a big piece of blackboard chalk is the 4cm staghorn calculi they're removing with two procedures (first one's done, second is coming up next month). I now have a torrent of hospital bills coming in from no fewer than six different account numbers for different departments from the same hospital, and only have temporary state disability insurance to provide for housing, food, necessities, etc., with not much left to cover medical expenses. Words cannot express the appreciation I'd feel for any help from my community and beyond to assist me with getting back on my feet and start paying these down. Thank you for any assistance you can help with... anything from $5 to $100 and anything in-between (or more) will go to pay down these hospital bills first, then the other expenses associated with being on disability and doing without some things I needed. I'm a very frugal person so nothing is a luxury with me, and I promise to apply all gifts to hospital bills and crucial necessities. Thank you for your support during this trying time.
