Triple C Benefit
Chris was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in March 2012. This is a lifelong, chronic disease and there is no cure. Chris has always been an active kid; he loves playing football, baseball, basketball and track, and for the last two years, has competed at the AAU Junior Olympics in shot put and discus. Unfortunately, this disease has slowed him down; limiting his involvement in the activities he loves so much. He recently spent a week in the hospital due to a flare-up, and intestinal inflammation caused a blood clot to form in his liver, adding to the stress of the disease itself. Therefore, in addition to his medication for Crohn’s Disease, he is now also on daily anti-coagulant shots (blood thinners) through the end of July, which will prevent him from participating in football camps he was eagerly looking forward to. We are having a benefit for him June 2nd at the East Metro Park in Manor. All proceeds will help with the costs of his treatments.
