Zyen has been diagnosed with a rare disease called XLP. Zyen started getting sick at 9 months old. He had gone from hospital to hospital and did many tests to try and figure out what could be causing Zyen to be so sick. Since he was 1 year old he has been getting IVIG treatments done every 3 weeks at our local hospital. Zyen was finally diagnosed with XLP in January of this year. The doctors in Boston agreed that Zyens best chance at getting better would be to get a bone marrow transplant done. If all goes well, he will be cured.
