Cameron Comito Cancer Fund
Cameron Comito is 31 years old, a loving husband, and father of four young girls. He is friendly, boisterous, family-oriented, and an all-around great person. Unfortunately he is also suffering from a rare type of germ-cell cancer which has spread through his body. Doctors are fighting hard to save him through the use of stem-cell treatment, but he had to go to Indianapolis to get it - leaving his immediate & extended family in PA. His disability has run out, and his wife quit her job to travel with him for treatment. Without any income, not only will they be fighting to save Cam's life, but will also need to worry about paying any hospital bills plus their mortgage and household bills. His wife Kellie is worried about losing her husband, she shouldn't also have to worry about losing their home. Please help with anything you can - even $5 makes a difference. 100% of all proceeds will go directly to the family towards their most pressing financial need. Thank you!Update 5/13: Bone marrow has been harvested twice in preparation for the next stage of treatment.Update 6/11: After the first stem cell treatment, doctors said there was nothing else they could do and discharged Cam. Miraculously, his cancer markers dropped overnight, so they readmitted him to start a second round of chemo/stem cell transfer. He's supposed to get his second treatment today. Please keep him in your prayers!Update 7/11: Cam has received the second treatment and is now home in PA in wait-and-see mode. He is very thin, weak, and has many treatment-related issues including difficulty hearing. He and Kellie will be traveling back to Indianopolis in the next week to see if he's getting better or worse. Bills are still coming in, so donations are greatly appreciated. We are halfway to our goal!Update 8/24: Cameron is home but in and out of the hospital with heart issues, possible pneumonia, and a seizure. He also underwent radiation treatments for tumors in his brain and has regained slight movement in his left arm & hand. The setbacks have been frustrating and saddening, so please continue to pray for a miracle.Update:Unfortunately, Cameron passed away on Friday, Sept 7 from complications due to the cancer and treatment. Donations are still being accepted to pay the hospital bills and to set up educations funds for his four daughters. Thank you for any support you are able to give.
