Don't cry because it over. Smile because it happen
Kenadie Brianne Humphreys was born on March 16th, 2011 at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center with several congenital defects, including Shone’s Complex, a heart condition, and porencephaly, a neurological defect. She had heart surgery at 5 days old and a shunt placed shortly thereafter to drain the excess fluid in her head. She was finally released from the NICU on May 13th, 2011. She spent a lot of time back in the hospital for numerous shunt revisions. Shortly before her first birthday, another heart surgery was required to fix various structures on the left side of her heart. Because of the condition of her heart and the complexity of the surgery, she came out with total heart block and was taken back to the O.R. a few days later to have a permanent pacemaker placed. Her mommy and daddy were able to have her home for a short time, which included her first birthday, before she needed to return to the hospital for another shunt revision. She was seeming to recover well until her heart just couldn’t hold on any longer and it stopped. The doctors did all they could but it was her time to go back to Heavenly Father and they could do nothing about that. She was 13 months old. Her mommy and daddy, while saddened by her passing, are joyous to know that her trial is over and are grateful for the knowledge of Heavenly Father’s plan and that they will one day be reunited with their precious daughter. While their knowledge of the gospel is a great comfort to them, any financial gift would help through this difficult time while they are planning her services and trying to get things together. She will be deeply missed and always loved. She touched everyone she came in contact with and for that we will always be grateful.
