On November 4th, I will attempt to run 21.097494 consecutive kilometers (or 13.109375 miles). That's a marathon, folks. Divided by two. It will be my first time to run such a precisely calculated distance. And in the frigid temps of early Canadian winter, no less. In order to get my body across that finish line I need your support! I've chosen two very worthy causes to raise money for:-The American Cancer Society, in honor of my cousin Carlos who recently had brain surgery and is a daily inspiration to meand-BEE Ride Japan 2012. My friend J Muzacz--the man responsible for the amazing ballpen art in JAPAN365--is nearing the end of a 3 month, 4000km bike ride across Japan with BEE (Bicycle for Everyone's Earth), a collective promoting sustainability, slow living, and environmental awareness. They are supporting Japan for Sustainability, a grassroots non-profit that promotes awareness and provides practical help to struggling communities in Japan.
