Hello friends and family!For those of you who know me, I'm crazy about food! Food justice that is. Driven by my passion for food access, urban agriculture, and my interest in Latin American culture, I developed an independent exchange program in Colombia, South America to study and explore projects of urban agriculture and food security. After months of planning and preparing, I'm now living in Medellin, where I will be carrying out my undergraduate thesis research for the next four months. My thesis explores the urgency of urban agriculture and agro-ecological techniques to address issues of food insecurity in Medellín. The aspiration is to compare/contrast such techniques and to my experiences working at a school garden in Tucson, Arizona.I can’t do this without you!
