I am raising money for my wife, Ashleigh Patterson. Ashleigh was born with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that causes lung infections and digestive issues. The current life expectancy of someone with CF is 35 years old (Ashleigh is 29 and will be until she says otherwise). Ashleigh’s lungs are now only functioning at 25% capacity. She is no longer able to work, exercise, climb stairs or inclines and has to use oxygen. These days, even simple tasks are difficult for her and she experiences a lot of pain. The only way to extend her life is through the hope of lung transplantation. Ashleigh has been evaluated and is a candidate for the lung transplant list. With this life changing surgery comes significant cost. The team of Doctors at Emory’s McKelvey Lung Transplant center recommended that we start fundraising. Please help us reach the goal of raising $30,000 to offset expenses that will not be covered by our insurance. Thank you for your generosity and support.
