Help Fight Malnutrition & HIV/AIDS in Rwanda
This November I'm traveling to Ruli Rwanda to volunteer for The Ihangane Project (TIP). The Ihangane Project empowers Rwandan communities to develop integrated approaches to the complex challenges of HIV by supporting community-driven projects that increase access to health care, improve health care quality, and foster long term success through economic development. HIV-exposed infants are at extremely high risk for poor cognitive development, chronic illness and death. Sadly, 50% of HIV-infected children living in resource-limited settings die by their second birthday and HIV-exposed infants face unique challenges that increase their risk of malnutrition.I'll be working on TIPs Nutrition for HIV-exposed Infants Program, which addresses these challenges through a series of interventions that focus on the underlying causes of malnutrition amongst these children and their families. Please help me in the fight against chilldhood malnutrition and HIV/AIDS in rural Rwanda! For more information visit:www.theihanganeproject.com
