We Remember You 2012

1 in 4 women will experience the tragedy of miscarriage or infant loss. That’s over 2,000 women in the U.S. alone per day. Yet because it’s something that is rarely spoken of, most women grieve alone…or worse never allow themselves to grieve at all. October 15th has been set aside as a national day of remembrance for babies lost to miscarriage, abortion and infant death including stillbirth, SIDS, birth defects. In honor of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, Beautifully Chaotic, Destiny in Bloom, Intelligender and Beyond Words Designs are partnering together to honor the short but sweet lives of babies gone too soon with a remembrance event and fundraiser. We have set a goal of raising enough money to purchase least 500 Art Cards (http://beyondwordsdesigns.com/?page_id=1853) to be given to hospitals and Dr's offices for women who have experienced a stillbirth or miscarriage. It might seem like a small thing but knowing you are thought of and not alone is a very big thing in the midst of that pain. The art cards will have a painting called Gone Too Soon on the front (http://beyondwordsdesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/GoneTooSoonWM2.jpg) and on the back a message of love that honors their grief and offers online resources for their journey towards healing. You can see pictures of last year's remembrance event, a Balloon release here- http://www.beautifully-chaotic.com/2011/10/pregnancy-and-infant-loss-remembrance-day-photos.htmland the short documentary that was created here- http://destinyinbloom.com/beautiful-things/
