DAN'S KIDS COLLEGE FUND!
Hello and thanks for taking the time to find out about Dan's Kids College Fund. My name is Bill and I am helping to raise funds for my brother Dan's kids college fund (My niece and nephew, see pic). Dan passed away unexpectedly on 9/17/12 at the young age of 50. Dan left behind a loving wife and 2 beautiful young children Katie 7 and Jack 9. We are all trying our best to deal with this very difficult loss. Dan was a great American who inspired all he met. I never met anyone who had an unkind word to say about him. Dan was a type one Diabetic from the age of 7. Most of his adult life he suffered from all of the complications of the disease which included vision problems in both eyes, both big toes removed from poor circulation, 2 kidney transplants, 4 separate open heart surgeries, kidney dialysis, and so many more illnesses I can't even mention them all. The amazing thing is Dan never complained, he was always upbeat and positive and he LOVED LIFE! He was the strongest and most courageous man I have ever known. When Dan wasn't in the hospital you know what he was doing? Helping others and enjoying every moment he had. He lived every day and did his best to make life enjoyable for his family and others. He volunteered and worked for the National kidney foundation raising awareness and funds to help people with advanced stage kidney disease. He was also a champion of patients rights and fought and won to get legislation passed in both Albany and Washington D.C to help organ donors get the medication and treatment they needed. Dan was always positive and lived his life by Charles Swindoll's poem entitled "Attitude." It is with this in mind that I am now going out of my way to ask you to help Dan and his family raise money to help his kids go to college. Dan was so good at helping others and now he needs our help. I thank you in advance for your donation and for letting Dan know his kids will be taken care of in his absence. Love you all. Billy.
