one step forward, one and a half steps back
there *has* been some progress: I've been declared permanently disabled by one doctor. there's also a new delay: a second (neurological) exam (MS-specific) has been scheduled for October 23. Social Security can't decide my case until all exams are completed. the decision should happen about a month after that appointment (or sooner, *maybe*), if it's "yes," pay should ensue within another month. or two. I hate to keep doing this, but there is virtually no more help available to me at the city or state level right now. I'm trying to eBay my last few valuables (the ones I saved to get me through the worst times), but the economy is so terrible, people aren't buying.unfortunately, I'll never be able to work (full or part-time) again. I've received a lot of help, but my needs continue, at least until that disability finally comes through.how I'll use your donation (regular expenses each month): $32 for a reduced-fare Capital Metro Regional Pass (bus/train transportation to & from various doctor & disability appointments), $200 for food (until the food stamp fiasco is straightened out), $77 for prescription medications, $20 for doctor appointments, $415 for rent & bills, $35 for my cell phone (a must-have while arranging disability appointments, etc.).if you're able to donate a bit to help me get through this, please do, and know that I am forever grateful for all your support, be it financial, emotional, moral -- whatever it is, I appreciate it more than I can say.
