Father Christmas

Aiden McIntosh

Aiden McIntosh

Just before Aiden McIntosh and his family were to celebrate his 5th Birthday, they received news that would impact their lives forever. It was Father’s Day when Aiden first started experiencing pain in his left leg. His parents watched him closely throughout the day as the pain progressed, and finally decided to take him to the hospital. At first it appeared to be nothing, so after initial observation, he returned to normal play for a week. Then, the pain returned. Aiden was back in the hospital for additional tests, and it was on this visit that Oncologists delivered the shocking news that would bring any parent to their knees. Aiden was very sick with a rare form of Cancer; Hypodiploid Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.Leukemia comes in many forms, and for Aiden, it happens to be the rarest. Initially the news was standard Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), with a significantly high survival rate. The genetics of Aiden’s Leukemia were different, very rare and extremely aggressive. Aiden will need a bone marrow transplant to give hope for survival; his future depends on it.Multiple Bone Marrow Drives were held in Aiden’s honor, but being that finding the right match is so difficult, these events did not produce a match for him. However, his family has been informed that a match has been confirmed, and it turns out this donor was just a selfless individual that had put themselves on the international registry. So although the drives in Aiden’s honor didn’t present a match for him, they very well may for someone else. The goal: SAVE A LIFE! The bone marrow drives gave hope to Aiden, and now give hope to future patients in need of help. The miracle of a match is possible for so many more.Although this is just the beginning, and the process of a bone marrow transplant is fairly rigorous, this is the first step in a potentially lengthy battle for Aiden’s life.As you put yourselves in the shoes of Aiden’s parents’… ask yourself what you would do? How would you react? Would you have the strength to get up off the floor after hearing the news? Would you have the strength to keep fighting for a better day for your son or daughter? And if your child was at his/her weakest point, and wanting to give up…would you be able to stay strong and say, “We’re going to fight this together.”Right now as parents, Jennifer and Billy’s main focus is to be by Aiden’s side and to help him fight this disease for the long haul. Since the diagnosis, Aiden has had extensive chemo treatments and just recently the family has been somewhat homebound due to the low level of Aiden’s White Blood Cell count. This is significant, because if a family member brings home even a common cold or virus at this point, it could be fatal to Aiden’s immune system and ultimately, his life.So as you can imagine, Jennifer and Billy have had to miss a lot of work and their lives that once were, now seem to be a distant memory. With the financial stress mounting on top of what already seemed to be life shattering, LoveHopeRevolution has decided to step in and offer financial relief for this amazing family who needs the ability to focus on one thing… getting little Aiden better.Since this will be a long road to recovery, LoveHopeRevolution is on a mission to help raise $50,000 for the McIntosh family’s current and future financial needs. Though Aiden’s Life and recovery is completely in God’s hands at this point, WE, as a community can step in and show love and support by bringing hope and comfort in other ways. I hope you will not only give to this cause, but I pray that you will continue to spread the word and help us reach our goal. You can donate below via Paypal and we will also have a Fund setup soon with Fifth Third Bank for those that would like to donate cash or check. The McIntosh Family has a phase, “WE GOT THIS”. It works for Aiden when he’s having a difficult time. He believes and they believe! They know they can’t do this without the help of others.
