I’m writing this on behalf of Donnie and Missy Salum. As many of you know, Donnie began suffering from severe headaches and pain in July and was diagnosed with an extremely rare brain tumor in late August. The tests revealed the tumor resides in the most surgically difficult place in the skull. Donnie is blessed to be treated at the Barrows Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz. While this tumor is rare, the physicians at Barrows are among the best in the world at treating this condition. Due to the high-risk nature of this surgery, physicians have elected to wait 6 month to determine if the tumor is growing. Donnie says, “never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be in this position.”Donnie will continue working with the specialists to treat the symptoms but has been unable to work due to the extreme pain and the medications necessary to treat the pain. Medical bills have begun arriving and the everyday expenses of raising their three young children, Abbie (7), Izabelle (6) and Donnie Jr (2) are putting the family under significant stress. Those of you who know Donnie and Missy know they would do ANYTHING for anyone!! Right now, this family is in need.
