On Thursday Ashton Powell and Shauna Mae were in a horrific accident after being run off the road on Gough Road. Shauna Mae suffered minor injuries but Ashton was flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries. After performing surgery on her brain it is now a waiting game. She has fractured all the bones in her face and broken bones in her neck. She is feisty and can move all her arms and legs and will shake her head no when they try to clean her mouth etc.. She is still not out of the woods but small improvements daily. The family is asking for no visitors at this time and will let you know when she is able to have visitors. We are asking for prayers. Lots and lots of prayers. This is a very hard time for her family and friends and we ask they are included in your prayers. Please add her name to your prayer list at church, school, wherever.
