Her leg was saved, but help is still needed...

My friend Jessie Harrison ran a 5k on August 18th. By the end of that day she was in the hospital. She would be diagnosed with Compartment Syndrome. This is where the muscles in the leg suffer severe pressure. The only immediate cure is to cut them open. She made it through. Her leg saved. But her company's insurance did not kick in until August 22nd. They will retroactivate her to February if she can come up with a minimum of $1350. This will also activate her disability. She is a single mom in need of help and as her friends and extended family, it is our time to support her. Please donate what you can... All funds will go toward this goal and to help support her in this long recovery process. UPDATE (8/31): Jessie's case of not losing her leg with the high pressure rates she had at time of surgery, well over 10 times the allowable limit, AND grey, possibly dead, muscle at first incision is considered one of the rarest cases in Compartment Syndrome. Her surgeon and his PA plan to write a paper on her case and recovery. UPDATE (9/7): Yesterday Jessie's stitches were removed. Woohoo! Thanks to your donations, she was able to give a payment for the back-premiums. We still need the full goal amount though for her disability and health insurance. Please consider donating! Thank you!
